Ambergris like the whole of Belize has a tropical climate and has a population of about 15,000 with around 12% being expats. The main town is San Pedro and has around 10,445 people living in it. The place is roughly around 20 minutes from Belize City by plane and one and a half hour ferry ride.  There is a hospital in San Pedro, so you will have a place to go in case of medical emergencies.  Properties range from $60,000 to $2.9 million depending on the type of property you are looking for.

Belize Dollar is also stable at an exchange rate of 2 Belize Dollar to the dollar, just imagine, you easily double the value of your money when you are here, stretching it a bit further.
